Wakeboard coach

Cory Teunessen

Cory is a 2 X world champion and is our wakeboard Readiness coach

‘ Hey guys! I'm Cory. For the past decade I’ve been travelling all over the world as a professional wakeboarder, training and competing whilst introducing the sport of wake to many fresh faces. Over the years I’ve had access to the best team of coaches and trainers to help me achieve my personal and professional goals. I’m super grateful to have learnt so much from them, including the all-too-important credo that there’s so much more to sport than just training your craft. With that being the case, I’m excited to team up with Ryan to impart the next generation of wakeboarders with the tools and knowledge to succeed. After witnessing how successful Ryan’s camps are in the snowboarding world, it's safe to say wakeboarding will benefit from his expertise. Let’s start developing the next world champion on Australian soil!’
Surf Readiness coach

Cooper Chapman

Professional surfer and mental health coach Cooper Chapman joins us to blend mental health and strength with surfing to help create better results.

“Growing up as a professional athlete something I always knew gave me an edge was my mental strength. A lot of these skills I had to build myself through my own research. This is why I'm so proud to be involved in the Readiness Camps as I believe the skills we can teach the kids will have a huge positive impact not only on their sporting performance but also their everyday life”.
Director, coach

Ryan Tiene

Ryan is an Ex professional snowboarder and Turn & Burn founder. Ryan not only brings his coaching but his experiences as a professional sportsman.

I’m an ex-professional snowboarder turned coach, the founder of Turn & Burn snowboard camps and now, the Readiness Camps.

I started Turn & Burn five years ago with the goal to make Australian snowboarders better! We start our journey doing snowboard camps all over the world, they have been a massive success and we are now an official pathway program for the Australia team.

Once Covid hit and we couldn't travel overseas for snow I thought about my career and came to the realisation that it wasn't my riding (although that played a part) but my mental game that had given me an edge over other athletes. Thats how the Readiness camps where created.

If we can't work on our skills on snow, how can we improve? We can work on our mental strength and readiness! The thing that sets apart the 0.01% of athletes who are at the top of their game is what's between the ears – specifically, their mental and physical preparation.
I’m stoked to team up with leading boasrdsport athletes and industry experts to deliver a camp that not only pushes you on the board, but has the essential element of the mental edge.’
